KENZO teamed up with celebrated filmmaker and director Spike Jonze to direct their latest “KENZO World” campaign. KENZO World is the latest fragrance for the French label, launched by creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon in conjunction with their latest prêt-à-porter collection. The film features Margaret Qualley, wearing KENZO’s latest collection (one of the beautiful layered green dresses), leaving a gala to become completely possessed in the hallways of the historical building where the gala is being held. Known best as an actress, Marget Qualley is actually a former dancer, and showcases her skills in the film, to the tune of “Mutant Brain” by Sam Spiegel & Ape Drums ft. Assassin.
It reminds us vaguely of the time that Spike Jonze had the iconic Christopher Walken bust spontaneous moves in the music video for â€œWeapon Of Choice” by Fatboy Slim.
Fashion critics have even gone on to claim that the KENZO x Spike Jonze collaboration is “better than any music video out there at the moment.”
