Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus presented the new campaign for his epomymous label just a few days ago – and it's a surrealist people pile-up. JACQUEMUS teamed up with renowned quirky photographer David Luraschi, as well as a choreographer, Willi Dorner, in order to piece together the latest campaign. For a few seasons now, Paris-based JACQUEMUS has been adorning quite a minimalist, surrealist look for its pieces. With wild cuts, understated colours, and retro influences, it’s no surprise that the latest campaign continues on the same surrealist track. The campaign featured models dressed in JACQUEMUS’ latest collection, literally piled up on top of each other on a Paris park bench. This way, JACQUEMUS maintains their whimsical reputation, while also representing a quintessentially Parisian look.
In the past, Simon Porte Jacquemus has been known to publish campaigns that are a tad out of the ordinary. A few seasons ago, his campaign comprised entirely of photos taken from his own childhood album. He held one of his early shows at a public pool, and later led a white horse down his catwalk. Let’s just say his imagination is on point.
