This past week, Markus Lupfer presented his Spring / Summer 17 collection, among London Fashion Week’s colourful, fun presentations. He wowed critics and earned his place at the top of the weeks collection with easy, breezy fits and relaxed prints, welcoming a more chilled-out upcoming spring season. But the collection never lost its edge, as he added contrasting elements like leather chokers and steel chained belts to the otherwise soft, light garments that made up the majority of his presentation. His key motifs were girly: rabbits, and flowers, in many different colours and prints. Some other pieces in the collection adopted a classic French-inspired vibe, with clean navys and reds, and stripes galore. His tops were pajama style and his skirts, long and flowing – definitely Ready to Wear.
All in all, his main colour palette was toned around an eggshell pastel, which was heightened by the soft use of reds, navys, and blacks.
Markus Lupfer is available exclusively at select retailers worldwide, including Colette in Paris, Opening Ceremony in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, and D-mop in Hong Kong.
