Canadian streetwear brand wings + horns continues their collaboration with adidas Originals with these simplistic renditions of the Gazelle OG. The collaboration is part of their premium collection, incorporating innovative manufacturing with iconic silhouettes. The capsule draws inspiration from Japanese shadow theories, subtly represented in each trainer. These Gazelles are sleek and monocoloured in the adidas Primeknit. The kicks are lined in leather, with a soft leather tongue, and a ribbed collar for extra detailing. The Japanese shadow theory inspiration comes through on the heel of the shoes, where an adidas Originals mon (a Japanese emblem used to signify belonging) is embossed. In both white and black colourways, subdued sneakerheads can take their pic on whether to join the dark side or stick to the lighter.
The harmony between leather and textile represented on the shoe really brings together a minimalistic element, representative of wings + horns’ much-loved aesthetic.
