KANYE WEST'S YEEZY SEASON 4 IS MET WITH LUKEWARM REVIEWS.

Not even 48 hours since the show, it’s already gone viral that Kanye West's YEEZY Season 4 presentation was kind of a flop. Aside from the much-loved YEEZY footwear collection, nobody really had anything great to say about the apparel. In a primarily off-white (hello, Virgil?) colour palette, the collection featured a lot of tight, form-fitting womenswear, with no shortage of the signature oversized baggy fit bit too. The footwear was pretty diverse as it featured new and upcoming YEEZY Boosts, but also wide, thigh-high boots that screamed Kim Kardashian. Of course, nothing Kanye does is ever understated or subdued, and the celebrity factor of the show was pretty jam-packed. Appearances by Sofia Richie, Chanel Iman, and recent body icon Teyana Taylor kept the presentation star-studded.

The “multiracial,” primarily street-cast models apparently struggled throughout the course of the presentation. For starters, it was a scorching hot day in New York (and the entire northeast, for that matter), and they all seemed anxious and nervous clad in the season 4 collection. Plus, the show took place in the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island – basically a hotbed for the sun’s beaming rays. Let’s just say we’re sure the samples worn by the models will have to either go through a good wash or be tossed out and remade after being shown off in that heat.
