Part of adidas Originals and White Mountaineering’s 2016 collaboration, the racing kicks are both classic and versatile. Available in black and white and a navy/teal and white colourway, the sneakers feature a combination of leather and mesh, modernizing retro elements.
As always, the designer of the Japanese outdoor wear namesake, Yosuke Aizawa, worked his magic on a classic adidas silhouette using only the mots premium materials. With premium leather, the timeless kicks that echo vintage athletic style to fit into today’s fashion scene. The design aspect of the shoe comes through in its technicality as a runner, which also incorporates contemporary aesthetic elements. With an unreleased silhouette originally conceived in the 1970s, the White Mountaineering racing edition modernizes retro aesthetics through and through. And the shoe still maintains a somewhat retro design, with outdoor inspirations from White Mountaineering’s side. The leather triangle at the back heel of the shoe represents the union of adidas Originals and White Mountaineering.
