A few days ago, adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams launched their latest collaboration – they revamped the ever-popular adidas NMD. The adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams Hu NMD, referring to “Human Race,” was launched earlier this week at select adidas Originals retail outlets, and hit J-01 in Hong Kong yesterday. According to Pharrell, the “Hu” actually represented Human Being, Human Race, Human Kind, and Human Species. Their NMD collaboration maintains the aspects that fans love about the NMD – its technology – while adding a funkier, more fresh outer. The upper of the shoe is done in a bright yellow Primeknit, with “Human Race” graphics – one word on each foot. The kicks also feature the energy-returning adidas Boost midsole in white.
One of the most interesting features of the shoe may be its innovative lacing system – a new one that provides stronger support for its wearer.
