This weekend, Jeremy Scott presented his MOSCHINO Resort 2017 show in Los Angeles. It kind of looked like a unicorn threw up everywhere. Or like one of those β70s Halloween costumes you buy at a fancy dress store, complete with a fake 'fro and disco goggles. But it was also awesome. With an aim to advocate peace and love, the show featured a lot of colour. Probably more colour than the fashion world has seen in the past twelve months. And in true Jeremy Scott fashion, the star-studded production featured numerous celebrities, superstars, top models, and big names in the industry.
The show featured everyone from Alessandra Ambrosio, to Miranda Kerr, to Chanel Iman, to Hailey Baldwin, to Anna Cleveland, and more. The front row was also graced by the likes of transgender icon Caitlyn Jenner and former supermodel Cindy Crawford. The show also marked model Devon Aokiβs return to the catwalk after over a decade of absence from the runway. The young Aoki made her catwalk debut with Jeremy Scott in Paris when she was 13, and her return to the catwalk was fittingly with Scott himself. On his Instagram, Scott hailed Aoki as βhis love, his muse, his baby, his woman.β
A huge first for Scott was the fact that the show was broadcast in virtual reality livestream. Autographed MOSCHINO cardboards were sold at the MOSCHINO boutiques in New York and LA, and they allowed viewers to experience the show as if they were there, in the front row, no less. This partnership was conceptualized and presented by Scott in partnership with the Livit (Live Without Limits) app.
