After being fairly under-the-radar for the past few months, or even years (that is, if we disregard his regular reposting of memes on Instagram), Snoop Dogg is back.
Fittingly, Snoop’s Doggy Style Records started 21 years ago, in 1995. The label boasts some 36 or so records quintessential to Snoop Doggy Dogg’s subgenre of hip-hop and R&B. A few days go, Snoop announced his decision to give Doggy Style Records a second breath, with an exclusive mixtape entitled “The Return of Doggy Style Records” to drop this summer. According to Snoop, he already has artists on his new roster – ready to re-enter the rap game.
In the midst of all this excitement, Snoop also didn’t hesitate to get vocal about his feelings towards fellow hip-hoppers The Roots and Steve McQueen’s Academy Award-winning film 12 Years A Slave. Teaser: he hates both.
