Another great thing about Men’s Fashion Week in Paris is that it’s where global culture tastemakers come together. Somewhat unsuspectingly, PFW was able to set the scene for Japanese rapper KOHH’s album launch for Dirt II. For weeks now, KOHH has been climbing to the top of the international charts in the worlds of music and fashion alike. Yesterday, he held his #9prints exhibition and Dirt II launch party at the Tokyoïtes Art space in Paris, celebrating his new release together with an art showcase from nine international artists. KOHH performed songs from the new 16-track album in the intimate Marais-based space, with a backdrop of nine A0-sized portrait boards featuring the rapper himself, each redesigned by a different artist.
Two weeks ago, KOHH held exhibitions of the art in Tokyo, at different locations spreading from Harajuku, to Shibuya, to Omotesando, and beyond. His Paris launch brought together French street fashion heads and different names in international hip-hop.
KOHH’s mini Europe tour kicks off on July 1st and features dates in Warsaw, London, and Paris.
