The adidas Tubular Nova Slam Jam is adidas’ first Tubular Nova collaboration to date. Partnering with the legendary Italian streetwear distributor, adidas used their Tubular Nova and its low-top silhouette as the canvas for the beginning of something new. The beautiful and subtle combination of white and grey on the trainer features a sublime combo of materials – from neoprene, to perforated mesh, to smooth suede, to crocodile-embossed leather. Of course, they didn’t miss out on the Slam Jam branding opportunity, as it adorns the back heel detailing on the special shoe. The two were able to really revamp the Tubular Nova, and make it a little more timeless throughout the seasons – as it can be cool for the summer, but also a little bit more durable for the fall.
For true sneakerheads, the adidas Tubular Nova Slam Jam were released last week at select adidas stockists such as Colette in Paris and J-01 in Hong Kong, as well as Slam Jam themselves, while supplies last.
