Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy is arguably one of the most elusive contemporary designers out here today. Although Гоша Рубчинский’s been active since 2008, he rose to cult fame in a matter of mere months. Two days ago, Rubchinskiy dropped the new visuals to follow up his runway presentation, which took place in Paris during men’s fashion week back in January. His most recent aesthetic bridges his usual edgy post-soviet influences together with rugged ‘90s sportswear and clean streetwear essentials, creating a melting pot of subcultures. Throughout the conception of the latest collection, he stuck to his usual DIY attitude by casting his models straight from the street. The lookbook itself echoes an unmistakably punk aesthetic, with stony, skinhead-esque models. If you’re wondering who’s credited for putting the Cyrillic alphabet back on trend, check this out:
