By now, Gosha Rubchinskiy is well known for street-casting his models and for choosing unorthodox, unconventional muses for his innovative collections and capsules. A few days ago, DAZED released exclusive photos of Gosha’s Spring/Summer 2017 muses, captured by Japanese photographer Yu Fujiwara (8 and 2.) Young streetwear fiends and Gosha fans congregated outside Gosha’s latest show in Florence, dressed to the nines in Gosha-approved gear. While the Russian designer’s pieces have a sell-out power and a hype that rivals that of Supreme and Palace, his fanbase is what really makes the culture around his label special. Gosha fan’s aren’t short-lived hypebeasts – they’re die-hards. Gosha founded his brand 8 years ago, in 2008, and since then, has been battling to nurture a community-based feel around his clothing. This is represented in his street-casts and the open nature based around Gosha’s concept.
Last week, Dover Street Market released the first drop of Gosha’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, which sold out almost immediately.
