“Tasse Tiger” is the alias chosen for New Balance’s latest collaboration with Sneaker Freaker on their 997.5. The kicks dropped and were launched as an Asia exclusive just two days ago.
After a considerable period of silence for New Balance x Sneaker Freaker collabs, the staples re-emerged about three years later with the “Tasse Tiger” NB 997.5. That is, following the release of the “Tassie Devil” NB 998 three winters ago. After the period of silence, New Balance and Sneaker Freaker wanted to come back with a bang, introducing a strong trainer into the mix. And the “Tasse Tiger,” modeled after the Australian native marsupial, definitely fits the bill. The sneaker itself features a very unique “terracotta” suede colourway that echoes the nature of the Aussie canine, with hints of black suede, apricot pops, a salt and pepper speckle, and 3M charcoal stripes.
The New Balance 997.5 x Sneaker Freaker “Tasse Tiger” is an Asia-exclusive release, available at select New Balance retailers such as J-01 in Hong Kong.
