Today, news came that the much-anticipated Supreme x The North Face spring collaboration will be released this week. The New York streetwear giant and American technical apparel label have announced that they’re coming together yet again to present a spring line, just as fresh and funky as the last, in neon colours and geometric inspirations. This drop of the collaboration is said to feature essentials that are categorized as “springwear,” but also fit for warmer weather. They include sweatshirts, tees, and caps. The last drop was based around The North Face’s Steep Tech Collection, taking cues from its inception in the 1990s, aiming to serve the purpose of “technical outerwear.” This line aims to do the same, and echoes extreme skiing, while presenting an ode to the founder of Steep Tech, Scot Schmidt, with his name plastered on the graphic identity of each sweatshirt and tee. Supreme and The North Face have stated that the aim of this line is to bridge the gap between “old school ruggedness” and modern-day technology.
